This role is advertised for 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), working across our buildings within Leeds City Centre - such as**Platform,**West Village**and**14 King Street.*

Working closely with a Facilities Manager, you’ll be overseeing the day to day of a team of 6 across the Leeds City Centre portfolio.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager with proven experience supervising a Facilities team and understanding of building systems.

  • Experience of supervising a facilities team with a basic experience of mechanical systems
  • A fast learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll get to know our buildings inside out, taking ownership of challenges and driving for solutions
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on responding to requests, using your initiative to meet deadlines and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to think on your feet, bring creative and innovative solutions to the table
  • Digitally savvy and comfortable utilising systems and softwares to keep track of building performance

Job purpose

As an Assistant Facilities Manager, you and your team will bring our spaces to life, being hands on and visible within our buildings to drive high standards and provide a safe environment for our customers to work in.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing hands-on operational support and conducting walkarounds to review onsite issues and troubleshoot challenges
  • Coordinating Facilities Team Members who run our buildings, helping them prioritise their daily workloads and assist in implementing new processes and procedures that enhance our service
  • Leading by example, supporting the management and development of a team of engaged Facilities Team Members, coaching to empower a first time fix
  • Making sure planned preventative maintenance checks are completed and correctly recorded in RiskWise alongside compliance documents provided by our supply partners
  • Coordinating contractor activities in our spaces, reviewing RAMS and managing any applicable permits, completing spot checks to make sure they are working to their method statement
  • Carrying out regular checks of vacant spaces to make sure they are maintained to a high standard - clean, tidy and viewing-ready for prospective customers
  • Proactively manage reactive works and remedial actions from maintenance visits and surveys to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Building strong working relationships with the building cluster’s wider customer experience team to promote a collaborative, customer-focused approach to deliver an exceptional level of service
