Shift Pattern: 4 night shifts per week

Shift Length: 12 hours

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and professional CCTV Operator to join our security team in Doncaster. It is a great opportunity to grow and excel for the right person.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring CCTV systems throughout the night, identifying suspicious activity, responding appropriately to incidents and maintaining accurate records. This position requires someone who can remain alert, focused and professional during long night shifts.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems throughout the shift.
• Identify suspicious behaviour, safety concerns and security incidents.
• Report incidents immediately to the appropriate manager, control room or emergency services.
• Maintain clear and accurate incident logs and daily occurrence records.
• Review recorded footage when required.
• Communicate professionally with security officers, site management and other relevant personnel.
• Follow all company procedures, data protection requirements and site instructions.
• Complete a detailed handover at the end of each shift.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Essential Requirements

• A valid SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance Licence.
• Previous CCTV monitoring or security control room experience.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain alert and focused throughout a 12-hour night shift.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence using computers, CCTV systems and incident-reporting software.
• Ability to make calm and appropriate decisions during incidents.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Able to work four night shifts per week, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working in a busy CCTV control room.
• Experience monitoring retail, commercial, industrial or public-space environments.
• Knowledge of GDPR, confidentiality and CCTV data-handling requirements.
• Experience communicating with the police or emergency services.
• First Aid qualification.
