Overview

This position reports to the Head of EMEA CDF and ABL Operations and is responsible for the management and performance of the CDF and ABL EMEA Operations function.

About this role

This position reports to the Head of EMEA CDF and ABL Operations and is responsible for the management and performance of the CDF and ABL EMEA Operations function. The role provides leadership to the Operations Team, which is responsible for invoice and cash processing, funding and forecasting activities, and asset-based lending across the EMEA region.

The primary objective of the role is to drive operational excellence by ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services, maintaining strong risk and control disciplines, and fostering a high-performing team culture. Responsibilities include managing team capacity, performance, and development, as well as overseeing an offshore processing team to ensure service levels, and business objectives are consistently achieved.

The role is accountable for delivering all business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and control objectives. Success requires strong stakeholder management and collaboration across a broad network of partners, including Relationship Managers, Commercial, Risk and Control partners, as well as effective engagement with global Operations colleagues (APAC and US) to drive continuous improvement, operational consistency, and best practice across the team.

In this role, you will

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop EMEA CDF and ABL Operations team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Manage team performance through effective objective setting, coaching, development planning, succession planning, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure appropriate resource and capacity planning to meet business demands, service commitments, and growth objectives.
  • Provide oversight of the offshore processing team, ensuring operational objectives and KPIs are delivered.

Operational Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of invoice processing, cash booking, funding, forecasting, and asset-based lending operational activities across the EMEA region.
  • Own and deliver departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), service levels, productivity targets, and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Drive the delivery of high-quality customer service while ensuring operational resilience and business continuity.

Risk, Controls & Governance

  • Maintain a robust risk and control environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Monitor and manage incidents, operational losses, and control effectiveness, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure all internal and external audit requirements are supported and that actions are tracked to timely completion.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Relationship Managers, Commercial teams, Risk partners, customers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner with business leaders to support customer retention, portfolio growth, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with global Operations teams to share best practices and promote operational consistency.

Continuous Improvement & Change Management

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, especially using AI, to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead and support operational transformation initiatives, system implementations, and process enhancement projects.

Champion a continuous improvement mindset using data and performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Institutional Investment Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
  • Leadership experience
