Overview

Your experience running shifts, coordinating multi-site operations, and managing people and processes translates directly into this operational leadership role.

About this role

The Opportunity

Fairview Health is one of the UK’s fastest growing providers of integrated medicines services, supporting NHS Trusts and hospitals with both Pharmacy Dispensing and WDA Stock Supply across a national network of sites. Our model is built on regulatory excellence, operational discipline, and trusted long term partnerships with the NHS.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Central Operations Manager to play a key role in the next stage of growth of our multi-site healthcare and pharmaceutical services business.

This is a senior operational leadership role based at our Head Office in London.

You will lead the Company's central operational support functions while also helping to design and improve the systems, processes and operational infrastructure that support our sites and customers.

This is not a traditional site management role.

You will work at the centre of the business, helping to build the operating model, systems and infrastructure required to support continued growth.

Your Team

You will directly line manage a central operational support team with responsibilities covering:

· Fleet Administration

· Facilities Administration

· HR Administration

· Health & Safety Administration

You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and development to the team and ensuring that these functions provide effective support to our operations across multiple locations.

You will not be expected to be the technical expert in every specialist area. Your role is to provide operational leadership, prioritisation, management and coordination, working with relevant internal specialists and external providers where required.

Your Role

Working closely with the Head of Operations and Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the central side of the Company's operations.

This includes

· Developing scalable operational systems and processes.

· Improving consistency across multiple sites.

· Creating practical national standards and operational frameworks.

· Ensuring central systems and support functions meet the needs of the business.

· Turning business growth plans into practical operational solutions.

Leading Contract Mobilisation

· Leading the operational mobilisation of new customer contracts and services.

· Coordinating the transition from contract award to Business as Usual operations.

· Ensuring readiness across people, premises, systems, suppliers, training and operational processes.

· Supporting the implementation of new sites and significant operational projects.

Leading Central Operational Support Functions

You will lead and develop the central support team responsible for areas including:

· Fleet.

· Facilities.

· HR administration.

· Health and Safety administration.

You will ensure that these functions are well organised, responsive and aligned with the needs of the Company's operations.

Driving Operational Improvement

· Identifying recurring operational challenges.

· Developing practical solutions that can be implemented across multiple sites.

· Improving efficiency and consistency.

· Leading national improvement initiatives.

· Working with operational teams to ensure central processes work effectively in practice.

Working Across the Business

You will work closely with

· Head of Operations.

· Regional Operations Manager.

· Site Managers.

· Pharmacy and Regulatory teams.

· Customer facing teams.

· Central support functions.

· External suppliers and service providers.

About You

We are looking for an experienced operational leader who enjoys building, improving and developing organisations.

You will be comfortable working across multiple functions and balancing strategic thinking with practical operational delivery.

You will ideally have

· Significant operational management experience.

· Experience leading and developing teams.

· Experience working in a multi-site environment.

· Experience of operational mobilisation, implementation or business change.

· Experience developing systems, processes or operational frameworks.

· Strong project and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

· A structured and solutions-focused approach.

Industry Background

Experience within one or more of the following would be advantageous:

· Pharmaceutical services.

· Pharmaceutical distribution.

· Medical supply.

· Pharmacy.

· Healthcare logistics.

· Healthcare.

· Another regulated multi-site environment.

Experience with NHS customers, GPhC, MHRA, GDP or similar regulatory environments would be beneficial but is not essential for candidates with strong transferable operational experience.

The Type of Person Who Will Succeed

This role will suit someone who

· Enjoys building and improving rather than simply maintaining existing systems.

· Can see the bigger picture while remaining close to operational detail.

· Is comfortable leading a central support team.

· Can bring structure and clarity to a growing organisation.

· Enjoys solving complex operational problems.

· Can work effectively across different functions and locations.

· Can influence and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.

· Understands that successful central operations must work effectively in the real world at site level.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to play a genuinely important role in a growing healthcare and pharmaceutical services business.

You will have the opportunity to

· Lead and develop your own central operations support team.

· Shape how the Company operates as it continues to grow.

· Lead major contract mobilisation and implementation projects.

· Develop scalable systems and operational processes.

· Work across multiple sites and business functions.

· Drive meaningful improvements across the organisation.

· Have a visible and direct impact on the future development of the business.

If you are an experienced operations professional who enjoys leading people, building effective systems and processes, and helping organisations grow, we would like to hear from you.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please send your CV and a covering letter, stating the job title in the subject line, to talent@fairviewhealth.co.uk
