About this role
Cloud Security Engineer get2 LEAD and Be Head of Managed Services
SSE · SWG · DLP · CASB | London with WFH flexibility
This is a rare chance to step into a Head of Managed Services role where your decisions actually shape the business. My client is a specialist cloud security partner. It’s small enough that your ideas are heard and acted on, and ambitious enough to plan significant growth in managed services over the next 12 months. You won’t be one name among many in a large MSSP. You’ll own the function, report directly to the CTO, and see the effect of your work on customers, the team and the bottom line. Good work here gets noticed and recognised.
As Head of Managed Services, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio built mainly on Netskope, alongside exposure management, Microsoft security and Acronis, leading a team of three engineers that is set to grow. It’s a hands-on role. You’ll stay technical across SWG, CASB and DLP while building the standards, methods and reporting that let the service scale without losing quality.
What you’ll do
- Own day-to-day delivery, service standards and escalations across co-managed and fully managed customers
- Bring every product up to the same delivery standard, not just the most mature one
- Lead customer reviews that turn technical work into clear business risk, priorities and visible value
- Configure and guide platform changes, set the approach to policy engineering, and help engineers solve complex problems
- Coach and develop the team, manage capacity and cover, and make the case for new hires and tooling
- Work with sales so that what’s sold can be delivered, keeping control of scope, effort and service cost
What you’ll bring
- Recent hands-on experience with Netskope or a comparable SSE platform (for example Zscaler, Skyhigh or Prisma Access), particularly SWG, CASB and DLP
- Experience in a service provider, partner or consultancy, looking after multiple customers
- Evidence of developing others, through team leading, mentoring or helping build a recurring service. A management title isn’t essential
- Commercial sense about scope, effort and what customers are paying for
- The confidence to take ownership, make recommendations and challenge constructively
- Experience with exposure management, breach and attack simulation or attack surface management tools is a strong plus
This Head of Managed Services role would suit a senior SSE engineer or consultant ready for their first head-of position, or an experienced service leader who has kept current technical depth. It is not a SOC or MDR role, and there is no individual sales target.
Why this Head of Managed Services role stands out
- Shape the operating model, methodology and tooling
- Work with cutting-edge exposure management and attack surface technology alongside a leading SSE platform
- Direct access to the CTO and leadership team, with a practical route to approve sensible investment
- Stay technical while growing your leadership responsibilities
- Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30, with no on-call or out-of-hours rota
- Private healthcare, flexibility for family commitments and supported development
