The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Specialist to join our growing Australia team and play an important role in supporting KPay’s payments, merchant acquiring, and lending businesses.

You will work closely with the Compliance team and business stakeholders to support our compliance framework, monitor regulatory requirements, identify and manage compliance risks, and help ensure our obligations to ASIC, AUSTRAC, and relevant payment schemes are met.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of compliance activities, broaden their regulatory experience, and grow their career within a fast-scaling international fintech.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of KPay’s Compliance Management Framework and AFSL obligations
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the business
  • Conduct compliance monitoring, testing, and reviews and support remediation activities
  • Support the management of compliance breaches, incidents, and issues
  • Assist with AML/CTF, KYC, CDD/EDD, sanctions, and financial crime controls
  • Provide practical compliance support and guidance to business teams
  • Support regulatory reporting and engagement with ASIC and AUSTRAC
  • Conduct compliance and risk assessments across products, processes, and business activities
  • Support product and process reviews from a compliance perspective
  • Maintain compliance policies, procedures, registers, and reporting
  • Work closely with Risk, Operations, Product, Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to strengthen compliance controls
  • Contribute to initiatives that promote a strong compliance culture across the organisation

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of compliance experience in fintech, payments, banking, lending, or financial services
  • Working knowledge of ASIC, AUSTRAC, AML/CTF, and AFSL requirements
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, reviews, risk assessments, or breach management
  • Good understanding of KYC/CDD/EDD and financial crime controls
  • Experience with regulatory reporting or compliance frameworks is highly desirable
  • Payments, merchant acquiring, lending, or other fintech experience is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Commercially minded and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • A willingness to learn and take ownership of new compliance initiatives
