Compliance Manager - Australia & New Zealand

At Stryker, compliance is more than meeting requirements. It enables trusted partnerships, sustainable growth, and better outcomes for customers and patients. As Compliance Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping ethical business practices across Australia and New Zealand, influencing decision-making at all levels and helping drive responsible growth in one of the world's leading medical technology companies. If you're looking for a role where you can combine strategic influence with meaningful impact, this is an opportunity to make a real difference.

Reporting to the Compliance Officer, you will work across commercial and functional teams to strengthen compliance capabilities, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement of Stryker’s Compliance Program.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with business leaders to identify compliance risks and implement practical mitigation strategies that support compliant decision-making.
  • Lead the execution and continuous improvement of compliance programmes across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Manage key compliance processes, including healthcare professional engagements, grants, sponsorships, donations, third-party risk management, distributor oversight, conflict of interest management, and promotional activities.
  • Develop and implement local compliance procedures, controls, and guidance to align with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives that increase understanding of policies, industry requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, monitoring activities, and audits to identify trends, measure programme effectiveness, and drive corrective actions.
  • Support investigations, issue management activities, root cause analysis, and remediation plans to address identified risks.
  • Analyse compliance data and regulatory developments to enhance frameworks, improve processes, and support risk-based decision-making.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing compliance programmes.
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, industry codes, and ethical standards.
  • Experience conducting compliance risk assessments, monitoring, auditing, or investigations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Compliance, Law, Audit, Risk Management, or Ethics.
  • Experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience working with healthcare industry compliance frameworks and codes of conduct.

What’s In It For You

At Stryker, you'll have the opportunity to influence business decisions, strengthen ethical practices, and help shape a culture of integrity across Australia and New Zealand. You'll also be supported with benefits designed to help you thrive both professionally and personally, including:

  • Paid parental leave and childcare assistance programs.
  • Access to employee share purchase opportunities.
  • Career development through global learning, training, and leadership programmes.
  • Volunteer leave to support causes important to you.
  • Comprehensive wellbeing resources and employee assistance programmes.
  • Recognition programs that celebrate individual and team achievements.
  • Flexible work arrangements that support work-life integration.
  • The opportunity to collaborate with regional and global leaders across a market-leading healthcare organisation.

At Stryker, you’ll join a team committed to doing the right thing, the right way. If you are looking for an opportunity to influence business outcomes, strengthen ethical practices, and help drive responsible growth in a leading healthcare organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
