Overview

Your regulatory discipline and investigative approach directly support breach identification and AML compliance work.

About this role

Compliance Specialist | Financial Services | Brisbane | $140k to $150k + Super

We're partnering with a well established financial services organisation to recruit a Compliance Specialist for their Brisbane office.

About the Organisation

Our client is a well established financial services organisation with a strong reputation across the industry. They're currently investing in strengthening their compliance and governance framework, and this role is part of that ongoing growth within a lean, highly capable compliance team.

This is a generalist compliance role, ideal for someone who wants real end to end exposure rather than sitting in a narrow, siloed function. You'll work closely with the Compliance Manager and a team of specialists, playing a part in how the organisation meets its regulatory and governance obligations day to day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing breach identification, assessment and reporting processes
  • Reviewing marketing and disclosure material
  • Supporting AML/CTF obligations and monitoring
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including at senior level
  • Supporting oversight of relationships with external service providers from a compliance perspective
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of compliance policies, procedures and governance documentation

What You'll Bring

  • A legal background is highly regarded, along with experience from a mid to large sized financial services organisation (superannuation highly regarded)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential given the stakeholder facing nature of the role
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing breach reporting processes
  • Working knowledge of AML/CTF obligations is highly regarded, though not essential
  • A proactive, hands on approach and comfort working autonomously within a small team
