About this role

Job Overview

We are looking for a capable and organised Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance and safety of our facilities in Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing contractors, coordinating maintenance and ensuring workplaces remain safe, efficient and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily facilities operations, building maintenance and repair activities.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers and external service providers.
  • Plan and monitor preventative maintenance schedules and inspections.
  • Respond to facilities issues and arrange timely repairs and corrective work.
  • Monitor building safety, security, cleaning and general workplace standards.
  • Manage maintenance records, service contracts and facilities documentation.
  • Track facilities budgets, purchase orders and maintenance-related costs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance workplace operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in facilities management, property operations, building management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, health and safety and contractor management.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confident communicating with contractors, suppliers, employees and management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good understanding of maintenance planning and facilities documentation.
  • Comfortable working independently and making practical decisions.
  • Relevant facilities, property, engineering or health and safety qualifications are advantageous.

Pay: £3,167.00-£4,000.00 per month
