Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to manage facilities operations, site maintenance and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient and compliant working environment that supports business operations across 2 sites. Head office based in Hinckley, with some travel to the Farnborough site.

  • Lead site facilities operations, combining hands-on delivery with managerial responsibilities.
  • Manage, develop and support the Facilities Team, maximising output.
  • Ensure all site equipment, plant and infrastructure are maintained and serviced in accordance with legal, operational and safety requirements.
  • Own and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Prioritise and coordinate reactive maintenance activities, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
  • Plan works, obtain quotes for approval. Clearly plan all aspects and communicate with all those affected.
  • Supervise, coordinate and manage contractors, ensuring all required permits and documentation are in place before work commences.
  • Act as the key point of contact for Production and other departments on facilities-related matters.
  • Apply Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to improve facilities performance and efficiency.
  • Manage utilities, site services and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor contractor performance and service delivery standards.
  • Manage the maintenance and facilities budget.
  • Support site audits and inspections relating to facilities and statutory compliance.
  • Travel to the Farnborough site as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Facilities Manager within manufacturing. Preferably Aerospace.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully managing and prioritising multiple projects, workstreams and facilities initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, TPM and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong practical maintenance and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance budgets.
  • Hands-on experience using Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication to C-suite level audiences.
  • Demonstratable strong team leadership skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours and ability to travel between sites.

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
