Facilities Manager

Overview

Your shift command and operational management experience directly translates to running day-to-day facilities and supplier oversight.

About this role

Facilities Manager

£50,000–£65,000 | London

A growing workspace operator is building a new model for facilities management: an AI platform that handles routine volume, and expert FM people who own everything it can't. If you're ambitious, organised, and think the industry is behind where it could be, read on.

The setup

Our client operates premium managed workspace for a portfolio of commercial occupiers. A connected technology platform runs the operational backbone of the portfolio: reactive jobs, compliance, suppliers, dispatch and reporting.

They're growing steadily across London and bringing a substantial number of new buildings onto their books over the coming year.

The job

Report to the Head of Operations. Run day to day FM across your patch of buildings, using the platform as your operating system. Most FMs spend their week in inboxes and spreadsheets. Here, the platform absorbs the volume; you bring the judgment, and your input helps the system improve.

You'll

  • Run day to day FM across your buildings: reactive jobs, PPM, compliance and suppliers
  • Work through the platform rather than spreadsheets, and help identify where it should do more
  • Support new building onboarding: asset registers, supplier handovers, compliance records
  • Manage suppliers day to day and hold them to the standard clients actually experience
  • Keep compliance tight and flag M&E risk early
  • Own problems end to end, fixing them yourself or finding who can

You

  • Ambitious, and comfortable treating a tech platform as an advantage rather than a threat
  • Organised, with a clear picture of every open job across your buildings at all times
  • Comfortable working primarily through software rather than a shared inbox
  • High ownership, willing to take the whole problem rather than a slice of it
  • Straight-talking and easy to work with, for contractors, landlords and colleagues alike
  • Focused on what the client experiences, not just whether the task was logged as complete
  • Comfortable making a call and adjusting, rather than waiting for sign-off
  • Solid FM foundations: reactive and planned maintenance, supplier management, and compliance basics across HVAC, electrical, water and fire. Portfolio experience isn't required, readiness to take it on is

How they work

Fast-moving and tech-first, with real ownership given early. Not a fit if you want a fixed remit and a settled process.

Package

  • £50,000–£65,000, depending on experience
  • Stock option scheme
  • 28 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Season ticket loan and cycle to work scheme
  • Process: video interview, panel interview with a task, final interview with a senior leader (generally same day)
