About this role

Shape the Future of Enterprise Security and Privileged Access Management

Are you passionate about cybersecurity, identity management, privileged access management, and protecting critical business systems? We're looking for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Technology Analyst to join our growing security team and play a key role in supporting, enhancing, and maturing IAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities across a complex enterprise environment.

In this role, you'll help ensure the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time, with a particular focus on ensuring privileged access is granted securely, used appropriately, and governed effectively.

As an IAM Technology Analyst with a PAM focus, you will

  • Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of Identity and Access Management solutions, with a particular focus on Privileged Access Management controls across privileged accounts, service accounts, administrative access paths, enterprise platforms, and critical applications
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, and PAM/IAM teams to ensure services align with security standards, business requirements, and strategic objectives
  • Assist with onboarding applications, privileged accounts, service accounts, and platforms into the IAM and PAM ecosystem, ensuring secure and compliant access controls are established
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM and PAM-related issues across a variety of technologies, platforms, and environments, including privileged access failures, vaulting, password rotation, session management, and temporary access processes
  • Conduct access, privileged access, and risk assessments, helping identify security risks, control gaps, and practical remediation options
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures to support IAM and PAM operations, governance, audit readiness, and control monitoring
  • Contribute to the development of automation capabilities that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of access management and privileged access management processes
  • Analyse recurring IAM and PAM incidents, identify root causes, and help implement preventative measures to improve service stability, control effectiveness, and security posture
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, technologies, privileged access controls, and security outcomes
  • Support special projects and contribute to broader cybersecurity, IAM, PAM, and technology transformation initiatives

What It Takes

We're interested in candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a passion for security, with an interest in privileged access management and operational controls.

Required

  • Experience working in Information Security, Identity & Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Network Administration, or a related IT discipline
  • Understanding of identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, access controls, least privilege, privileged account lifecycle management, and secure administration practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology platforms and troubleshooting complex technical issues, ideally involving privileged access, administrative accounts, access controls, or security tooling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify access and privileged access risks and recommend practical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, including security, infrastructure, application, audit, and business stakeholders
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

  • Experience with IAM and PAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Privileged Identity Management, SailPoint, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar technologies
  • Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), vaulted credentials, password rotation, just-in-time access, session monitoring, and privileged access reviews
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, role-based access controls, privileged groups, service accounts, and security best practices
  • Experience with automation, scripting, workflow technologies, reporting, or control monitoring capabilities that support IAM and PAM operations

Special Factors

  • Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
  • This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
  • Please note that we review applications on a rolling basis and may close this role early if there is a high level of interest. To avoid missing out, we recommend applying as soon as possible
