Reporting into the Head of IT & Information Security.

Lead delivery of IT services across the company, ensure infrastructure, systems/support services enable the safe and reliable operation of the network. Be the senior operational IT lead, oversee service delivery, cyber security controls, supplier performance, infrastructure resilience and IT governance.

Partner with stakeholders across the business, IT teams and suppliers to ensure IT services are aligned to operational requirements, regulatory obligations and best practice. Support digital transformation initiatives, technology projects and improvement across the organisation.

(Salary £85,000pa plus benefits)

Role overview (but not limited to)

  • Manage the IT service delivery function, including Service Desk, infrastructure/ business systems.
  • Ensure IT services meet reliability, performance and security requirements.
  • Maintain/improve IT Service Management processes aligned to ITIL principles.
  • Manage IT assets, procurement activities, suppliers, service level agreements.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology improvements.
  • Support cyber security governance, vulnerability management, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
  • The senior escalation point for IT incidents, service disruptions and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements, franchise obligations and audit standards.
  • Work closely with Information Security teams to maintain robust security controls across IT systems.

Profile

  • Experience in IT service delivery environments.
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune/MDM, networking and cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
  • Delivered IT projects, service improvements, infrastructure upgrades or migrations.
  • Cyber security principles, governance and risk management.
  • Stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) or equivalent IT Service Management qualification.
  • Managing IT services within a regulated, operationally critical or complex environment.
  • Managing third-party suppliers, service contracts and service level agreements.
  • Leading technical support or service delivery teams.
  • Microsoft technical certifications.
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Supporting ISO 27001.
  • Experience within infrastructure, rail, transport (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) systems.
