We're seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to join our Technology Services team on a 12-month maximum term contract, helping deliver a significant network, storage and security modernisation program across a growing multi-site environment. This project-focused role will see you design, implement and optimise enterprise infrastructure across networking, security, storage, cloud connectivity and secure access technologies.

About Us

Bennett + Bennett Corporate Services provides essential operational support for multiple entities within the Bennett + Bennett Group, enabling each company to focus on delivering exceptional value to clients.

With roots dating back to 1968, the Bennett + Bennett Group has a long-standing commitment to excellence in Surveying, Town Planning and Spatial Solutions. Our Corporate Services team extends this legacy by strengthening the systems, technology and infrastructure that support our people and clients.

Reporting to the Technology Services Manager, you will help deliver a major infrastructure transformation program across a multi-site environment. Working across enterprise networking, security, storage, cloud connectivity and identity and authentication technologies, you will design, implement and optimise solutions that improve performance, resilience and security across the business. You'll be involved in everything from technical design and implementation through to documentation, testing and operational handover.

About You

You will be a practical, delivery-focused infrastructure engineer with strong hands-on experience across enterprise networking, firewalls, switching, wireless, storage and secure access technologies. You will be comfortable working in change-controlled environments and able to balance technical delivery with documentation, risk management and supportability.

To be successful in this role, you will have

Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or similar in a medium to large multi-site environment.

Strong experience with routing, switching, VLANs, network segmentation, firewalls and VPNs.

Hands-on experience with enterprise networking, wireless and security platforms

Experience with SASE, secure web access, hybrid cloud networking and Microsoft 365 connectivity.

Experience with RADIUS, certificate-based wireless authentication and secure access design.

Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms, including NetApp and/or HPE SAN environments.

Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Server networking services such as DNS, DHCP and NPS/RADIUS.

Understanding of SIEM or central logging requirements, including log forwarding, time synchronisation and event source onboarding.

Strong documentation, implementation planning, testing and rollback planning skills.

Exposure to modern infrastructure and security practices, including certificate-based authentication, secure wireless technologies, automation, scripting, Infrastructure as Code, and Zero Trust security models will be highly regarded. Relevant networking, cloud, storage or security certifications are also desirable.

Why Join Us?

Deliver a major infrastructure transformation project with real business impact.

Work with modern networking, security and cloud technologies.

Enjoy significant technical ownership and autonomy.

Be involved in design and implementation, not just day-to-day support.

Flexible Brisbane or Gold Coast location options.

Hybrid working arrangements following onboarding.

Competitive remuneration package, including project-based incentive payments.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you're looking for a project-focused role where you can help modernise critical infrastructure and deliver meaningful technical outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
