This role exists to provide Professional technical support on complex network security and cyber security deployments for any and all of our UK contracts. Building intermate working relationships and trust through effective communication and meeting expectation and deadlines is key. Liaising with customer representatives or vendors and directing other support staff where appropriate will form part of the role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • One key thing that all of our engineers have in common is a desire to develop/deliver brilliant, industry redefining platforms as well as their own skills.
  • We need you to be a cyber/ networking security incident decision maker, responsible for ensuring that mitigation controls and incident response are appropriate
  • Providing security advice and remediation to Lines of Business within BT and external customers,
  • Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation
  • Postiviely support team leader and line manager.

Essential Skills / Experience

Minimum of CompTIA Network +/ Equal Certification plus the below Firewall Engineering Skillset:

  • Fortinet
  • Cisco ASA, ISE & FirePower
  • Palo Alto
  • Checkpoint
  • ZScaler
  • F5 Load balancer
  • Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP & OSI seven-layer model and how data networks are structured and operate.
  • Knowledge of the best engineering practices and continuous delivery
