Job OverviewOperations Manager, Plumbing & Heating Business, North West London
We are recruiting on behalf of a well established and growing plumbing, heating and property maintenance business in North West London that is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager.
This is a key appointment within a successful owner led business and would suit someone who enjoys being hands on, improving operations and taking genuine responsibility for day to day business performance.
You will work closely with the Managing Director, taking ownership of the operational function and helping the business become more structured, efficient and scalable as it continues to grow.
The Role
You will be responsible for
- Managing the day to day operational performance of the business
- Leading and supporting a team of field based engineers and office staff
- Ensuring jobs are scheduled, managed and completed efficiently
- Monitoring engineer productivity, utilisation and performance
- Improving operational processes, systems and procedures
- Managing service delivery and maintaining high customer service standards
- Dealing with operational issues, escalations and problem solving
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development of engineers
- Monitoring KPIs and driving accountability across the business
- Working closely with the Managing Director on business performance and growth
- Helping professionalise and develop the operation as the company expands
What We’re Looking For
We are open to candidates from a range of operational backgrounds, ideally within plumbing, heating, maintenance, property services, facilities management, M&E or another field service environment.
You could currently be working as an
Operations Manager, Service Manager, Contracts Manager, Field Operations Manager, Engineering Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Property Services Manager, Repairs Manager, Maintenance Manager, Hard Services Manager or Mechanical Contracts Manager.
More important than your current title is your ability to lead people, manage a busy service operation, improve processes and get things done.
You will need to be commercially aware, organised, confident making decisions and comfortable working closely with the owner of an entrepreneurial SME.
What’s On Offer
- £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
