Overview

Your operational command and resource coordination skills from policing translate directly to managing a busy training academy.

About this role

Operations Manager – Medical Aesthetics Training

Derma Institute – Wandsworth, London

Full-time | Monday–Friday

Derma Institute is an international medical aesthetics training provider delivering professional training courses globally.

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Operations Manager to join our team at our Wandsworth training academy.

This is a varied, fast-paced role with responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the academy and supporting the wider operations of the business. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems quickly and is comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Wandsworth academy
  • Coordinating training courses, educators, delegates and models
  • Managing staff rotas, cover and operational requirements
  • Ensuring courses are appropriately staffed and prepared
  • Managing stock levels, ordering and ensuring training supplies are available
  • Overseeing treatment rooms and training facilities
  • Supporting educator recruitment, onboarding and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring required documentation, records and operational processes are completed correctly
  • Managing delegate and model issues or escalations
  • Working closely with the Directors and wider Operations team
  • Maintaining and improving internal systems, processes and SOPs
  • Ensuring high standards of organisation, professionalism and customer experience throughout the academy
  • Supporting the business with additional operational projects as required

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have

  • Previous operations management, clinic management or similar management experience
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Excellent organisation and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • Confidence managing staff and addressing performance or operational issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Confidence using CRM, booking and administrative systems
  • A proactive approach — we're looking for someone who identifies what needs doing and takes ownership of it
  • The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy, changing environment

Experience within medical aesthetics, healthcare, private clinics, education or training would be highly advantageous, although we will consider strong operations candidates from other fast-paced industries.

The Role

This is not a purely administrative position. The Operations Manager will have genuine responsibility for ensuring the academy runs effectively and will be expected to take ownership of problems through to resolution.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, commercially aware, confident managing people and genuinely enjoys making operations run efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Benefits

  • Join a growing international medical aesthetics training company
  • Varied role with significant responsibility and autonomy
  • Opportunity to develop as the business continues to expand
  • Work closely with senior management and company Directors

To apply, please submit your CV along with a brief summary of your operations/management experience and why you feel you would be suitable for the role.
