Security Consultant – AWS | Active SC Cleared | Contract

NOTE: you *must have*Active SC Clearance with a current or recently ended role.

Contract details

• £400–£450 per day
• INSIDE IR35 contract only
• Active SC clearance required
• Predominantly remote, with potential travel to Newcastle or Leeds (expenses are not covered for this contract)

We’re looking for an experienced Security Consultant to support a large-scale public sector technology programme, with a particular focus on AWS platform security, security architecture and risk.

You’ll work closely with technical and architecture teams to design security controls, assess architectural decisions and ensure platform components meet required security and data-handling standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design security controls across an AWS-based platform, including IAM, Lake Formation and data classification boundaries
• Review architecture and technical decisions from a security and risk perspective
• Conduct threat modelling and risk treatment
• Ensure platform components meet required security and data-handling requirements
• Support security logging and monitoring
• Provide documented security sign-off ahead of deployment

Key experience

• Strong AWS security architecture experience
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS IAM and Lake Formation
• Threat modelling and security risk management
• Security logging and monitoring
• Experience with Splunk
• Experience operating within security-conscious or regulated environments
