About this role

Equans is looking for a Security Officer to join our team based out of 9 Maxim Park, Eurocentral, Motherwell, ML1 4WQ on a permanent basis. This is a full time position working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.71 per hour and benefits package.

Shift Pattern

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 4 on / 4 off rota
  • Rotating days and nights

Flexibility is required, as you may occasionally support nearby sites in Eurocentral and Bathgate.

What will you deliver?

As a Security Officer, you will help create a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets across our sites.

Key responsibilities include

  • Patrolling and monitoring site areas to identify and prevent risks
  • Controlling site access and supporting visitors
  • Monitoring CCTV, alarms, and security systems
  • Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting emergency situations and following procedures
  • Working with colleagues and external services when required

This is a key role where your professionalism and presence will help ensure safety and reassurance for everyone on site.

Essential

  • A valid SIA licence
  • Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay calm and respond effectively in challenging situations
  • Reliability and a professional approach
  • Knowledge of CCTV or access control systems
  • A full UK driving licence

Additional information

  • This is a mobile-support role across nearby sites, so some travel may be required
