Role Overview
Hunter Group Security is looking for professional, reliable and vigilant Security Officers to join our growing team, supporting client sites across Manchester and the surrounding areas.
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, their staff, visitors, premises and assets. Duties will include maintaining a visible security presence, conducting regular patrols, monitoring access to premises, completing accurate shift reports and responding appropriately to incidents.
Key Duties
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence at all times.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols in accordance with site instructions.
- Control and monitor access to client premises.
- Challenge unauthorised persons where appropriate and in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or security concerns.
- Complete accurate patrol, incident and shift reports.
- Carry out regular site checks and report any security, safety or maintenance concerns.
- Follow all client assignment instructions and Hunter Group Security procedures.
- Maintain professional standards when dealing with clients, staff, visitors and members of the public.
Pay & Benefits

IMPORTANT – Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence – ESSENTIAL
- Valid UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference) – ESSENTIAL
- Valid Right to Work in the UK documentation – ESSENTIAL
- You MUST understand and accept that this is a SELF-EMPLOYED position
- Enhanced DBS – desirable
- Good written and spoken English
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow site instructions
- Previous security experience is advantageous

Employment Status
This is a SELF-EMPLOYED position. Successful applicants will be engaged on a self-employed basis and must already hold, or be able to provide, a valid UTR number.
