As a Security Officer with ISS UK, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe and secure environment, protecting colleagues, visitors, customers, property, and assets while delivering exemplary security services.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires vigilance, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills. You will work closely with front-of-house teams, cleaning and maintenance teams, customers, visitors, and members of the public, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site at all times.
The Role
- Ensure the safety and security of the site, its occupants, and all assets at all times
- Remain vigilant and identify, investigate, and report any suspicious activity
- Prevent unauthorised access and maintain the integrity of all security procedures
- Carry out routine patrols, including unlocking and locking buildings and setting and unsetting alarm systems
- Monitor activity across the site and maintain an up-to-date awareness of daily operations and events
- Provide a professional and welcoming service to colleagues, visitors, contractors, and members of the public
- Meet and greet visitors, provide assistance when required, and maintain a visible presence throughout the site
- Check identification cards and access passes to ensure security protocols are maintained
- Build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures and report any concerns, incidents, or breaches promptly
About You
- Previous experience within a security role
- A valid front-line Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence in security guarding, door supervision, or close protection
- An understanding of security systems, technologies, and related equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional while working under pressure
- A proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and service
- A willingness to undertake additional screening and clearance checks, including BS7858, DBS, and BPSS checks
