*About the role

As a Senior Security Officer at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors and hospital assets. Leading a team of Security Officers, you will oversee security operations on shift, coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies, and provide expert guidance in the management of complex and high-risk situations. Working in a dynamic healthcare environment, you will partner closely with clinical and operational teams to support patient care, respond to emergency events, and maintain a safe and secure hospital environment.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Ensure that comprehensive security services and assistance is provided at all times to staff, patients, visitors and contractors whilst at the same time protecting the physical assets of The Prince Charles Hospital.

Provide sound operational security service advice and guidance to subordinate Security Officers ensuring that security best practice is always adopted.

Ensure that Security Services provides a first response to all emergency situations including helipad operations.

Ensure that Security Services provides close personal protection to staff confronting aggressive and volatile situations in the provision of front-line health services.

Prioritise and delegate tasks to ensure that requests for security and/or emergency assistance are responded to and provided in accordance with Queensland Health, Health Service, Facility and Unit guidelines, policies, procedures and protocols.
