Overview

Uniguard are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and prompt response to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional setting, ensuring safety and security at all times.

Duties

  • Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
  • Conduct regular patrols of the site to identify potential hazards or unauthorised access
  • Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
  • Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid when necessary
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks
  • Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required
  • Assist visitors and staff with security-related queries or concerns

Skills

  • Proven experience in surveillance and loss prevention techniques
  • Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures and certification is highly desirable
  • Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
  • Organised with the ability to document incidents accurately and thoroughly

This position is vital in maintaining a safe environment for everyone on-site. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, attentiveness, and a proactive approach to security responsibilities.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
