Overview
Uniguard are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and prompt response to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional setting, ensuring safety and security at all times.
Duties
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the site to identify potential hazards or unauthorised access
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
- Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks
- Enforce site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required
- Assist visitors and staff with security-related queries or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance and loss prevention techniques
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and certification is highly desirable
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
- Organised with the ability to document incidents accurately and thoroughly
This position is vital in maintaining a safe environment for everyone on-site. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, attentiveness, and a proactive approach to security responsibilities.
