As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for

  • Highly Visible Security Presence: Maintain a highly visible, proactive security presence on and around the site, focusing strongly on effective access and egress controls.
  • Event Support: Facilitate smooth access control flow during on-site events and serve as the primary point of contact for any event-related emergencies.
  • Security Control and Monitoring: Actively support the site's security operation, including collaboration with the Security Control Room (SCR) and Security Services Centre (SSC). Duties involve assisting with the review, recording, escalation, and reporting of incidents, as well as fault detection.
  • Physical Security Checks: Perform detailed physical security checks, including investigating unusual conditions, documenting damage to perimeter and buildings, and confirming the secure lock-down of all facilities.
  • Emergency & Incident Command: Act as a primary first responder for all pre-planned or significant security events. Immediately take command of the scene (or situation) during emergencies, ensuring effective liaison with the Security Control Room (SSC), GSOC, and external emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance)
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain continuous, clear, and professional communication with all security partners and occupier service teams, ensuring they are consistently updated on critical operational developments.

What we are looking for

  • Superior Customer Engagement: Excellent customer service skills with proven experience in a high-traffic, customer-facing environment, effectively managing and interacting with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders.
  • *Attention to Detail & Vigilance:*Highly detail-oriented with exceptional sensory acuity, essential for effective security monitoring and traffic management.
  • Independent Leadership: Demonstrated strong leadership skills and the confidence to independently command and manage the Service Yards during emergency situations.
  • Operational Adaptability: Ability to operate effectively and address immediate operational needs within a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • SIA licence DS is ideal but not essential

Please note that, successful candidates will be required to undergo periodic vetting checks during their employment. This is not a full vetting process, but a routine credit and directorship check and carried out every three years to ensure ongoing compliance with our security standards.
