About Our Client
Our client is a specialist cyber security organisation providing managed detection and response services to enterprise customers across the UK. Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to strengthen their cyber security capability.
The Role
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced SOC Analyst / Incident Response Analyst to join their growing security function. You will work with technical and business stakeholders to protect systems, data and services while helping improve the organisation's overall cyber resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM, EDR and other security platforms.
- Triage and investigate security alerts and incidents.
- Perform containment and escalation in line with incident response procedures.
- Analyse logs, endpoint activity, network traffic and threat intelligence.
- Improve detection rules, playbooks and SOC procedures.
- Support threat hunting and complex investigations.
Skills & Experience
- Previous SOC, security operations or incident response experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or QRadar.
- Experience with Defender, CrowdStrike or similar EDR/XDR tooling.
- Understanding of networking, Windows/Linux and common attack techniques.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK.
- Security+, SC-200, CySA+ or similar is advantageous.
