About the Security Department

The Security Services Department, within the Information and Services Directorate services 3 sites and Mercy Hospital for Women. The department is an in-house service and operates 24/7.

A regular day will see you

Supervising security operations at the Austin Health Latrobe University Vaccination Clinic

Leadership of all Security Staff as per shift across all campuses

Ensure all security staff/contractors are on duty and on time

Direct security staff/contractors as required for security operational requirement

Responding to requests from Austin Health

About you

As the Security Shift Leader, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you

Hold and maintain a current level II Security / Crowd Controllers licence and First Aid Certificate

To be reliable and commitment to Austin Health values.

The ability to lead a team

The ability to show restraint and control in dealing with difficult situations

The ability to compile detailed reports

To be able to work unsupervised
