Security Support Officer
Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends)
We are seeking reliable and professional Security Support Officers to join our Rolls-Royce contract in Derby. Applicants must be fully flexible and able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to this shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations
- Conduct access control, pass, and parking permit checks.
- Monitor CCURE systems, CCTV, and door alarms.
- Sign in visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
- Maintain compliance with site procedures, company policies, and relevant legislation.
- Complete all duties in accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements and all mandatory contract training.
- Follow instructions and procedures professionally and consistently.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Training & Development
- Complete all mandatory training and competency assessments.
- Participate in additional training as required.
- Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills.
- Ensure SIA licences are renewed at least 16 weeks before expiry.
Security, Safety & Incident Management
- Report all Health & Safety concerns and potential hazards immediately.
- Remain vigilant to security threats and operational risks.
- Use initiative and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Maintain professional conduct when dealing with challenging situations.
- Complete accurate incident reports and notebook entries.
- Conduct scheduled check calls as required.
- Notify emergency services and the Communication Centre of incidents when necessary.
Essential Requirements
- Previous security experience.
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervision Licence.
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
