How You Will Make An Impact

Join us as a Cloud Engineer – Cloud Operations and help customers solve complex cloud and cyber security challenges in Microsoft Azure customer environments.

You’ll deliver secure, scalable and reliable cloud services in a Managed Services environment, working closely with Pre-sales, Professional Services and Leadership to ensure operational excellence, service continuity and long-term customer success. With a strong focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and automation, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality cloud outcomes aligned to customer needs.

Day to day you will

  • Manage and optimise customer cloud environments, especially Azure and Microsoft 365, for availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Automate workflows and apply best practices to reduce manual effort.
  • Provide proactive client support and resolve cloud issues before they affect services.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, security, and networking issues with minimal downtime.
  • Maintain secure cloud environments aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
  • Implement security controls, run vulnerability assessments, and protect client systems from cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with Pre-sales, Professional Services, Leadership, and clients to align cloud services with business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise cloud environments and improve client outcomes.
  • Participate in an on-call roster in line with company payroll and overtime policies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 experience or certification, including Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Windows 365, Intune, and Defender.
  • Broad experience across Azure platform services, Windows systems, Microsoft identity and mail services, database platforms, Microsoft and third-party security tools, and DevOps technologies including Azure DevOps.
  • Background in delivering cloud services within a Managed Services environment, including monitoring, incident management, and SLA compliance.
  • Experience using cloud monitoring tools to manage, troubleshoot, and optimise infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs, VPNs, hybrid cloud, and inter-cloud connectivity.
  • Database Administration skills would be advantageous.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is a*mandatory* requirement that all applicants are Australian citizens with the ability to hold an Australian Security Clearance.
