Overview

Your experience running operational units and managing compliance in high-pressure environments translates directly to facilities management.

About this role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to join a well-established and highly reputable property brand, taking responsibility for a varied commercial portfolio across Leeds City Centre and the surrounding area.

The portfolio comprises a mixture of commercial office buildings and industrial sites, requiring an experienced facilities professional who can take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the properties while maintaining strong relationships with occupiers, clients and contractors.

This is a varied role covering everything from service charge management and contractor performance through to M&E, compliance and the overall presentation and operation of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day facilities operation of a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties
  • Preparing, setting and managing service charge budgets
  • Monitoring expenditure and assisting with service charge reconciliations
  • Overseeing M&E services, planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
  • Managing contractors and external service providers, ensuring agreed standards and SLAs are maintained
  • Carrying out regular property inspections and identifying maintenance or operational requirements
  • Ensuring statutory compliance, health & safety and site documentation are maintained across the portfolio
  • Building strong relationships with occupiers and acting as a key point of contact for operational matters
  • Managing planned works and coordinating contractors to minimise disruption to occupiers
  • Supporting wider property management initiatives and continually looking for opportunities to improve service delivery

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have previous facilities or property management experience within a commercial environment, ideally with exposure to both office and industrial properties.

You will be confident managing service charges, contractors, M&E services and compliance, while being comfortable working autonomously across a multi-site portfolio.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside a professional and commercially minded approach.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a recognised name within the property sector, offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000 plus car allowance and responsibility for a varied commercial portfolio.
