Ultracoat Authentication Technologies UK Ltd. is seeking a Senior Security Printing Operations Manager to lead the company's secure printing and authentication production operations. The role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing processes, ensuring the integrity of security printing systems, optimizing production efficiency, maintaining strict quality and compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement across operations involving secure documents, authentication technologies, and anti-counterfeit products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all security printing and authentication technology operations, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient production processes
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve production capacity, quality, security, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery performance
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, workflow optimization, inventory management, equipment utilization, and resource allocation across multiple production lines
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards, information security requirements, UK health and safety regulations, and secure document production protocols
  • Manage the production of security features such as holograms, security labels, tamper-evident materials, serialized products, authentication technologies, and other secure printing solutions
  • Monitor operational KPIs, production yields, waste reduction, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, R&D, procurement, supply chain, sales, and client service teams to deliver secure products that meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop production supervisors, operations managers, quality engineers, maintenance personnel, and technical specialists while promoting a culture of security, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Printing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience in security printing, secure document production, authentication technologies, industrial manufacturing, or production operations leadership
  • Strong knowledge of security printing technologies, anti-counterfeit solutions, secure manufacturing environments, quality management systems, production planning, and asset management
  • Experience with ERP systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), production planning software, quality management platforms, and operational reporting tools
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, GMP principles (where applicable), and secure supply chain practices is highly desirable
  • Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, PRINCE2, APICS/ASCM, or equivalent manufacturing and operations certifications are advantageous
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, strategic planning, project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
