Join our dynamic security team as a SIA Security Officer, where your vigilance and dedication will ensure the safety and protection of our premises, staff, and visitors. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, loss prevention strategies, and effective incident response. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help foster a secure atmosphere that allows our operations to run smoothly and confidently.

Duties

  • Perform regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, ensuring all areas remain secure.
  • Implement loss prevention measures by monitoring high-risk zones and assisting in the detection of theft or inventory discrepancies.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency services as required.
  • Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and staff entering the site, maintaining accurate access logs and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in training new team members on security procedures and CCTV operation to uphold high standards of safety.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and effectively monitor premises.
  • Proven experience in loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and inventory loss.
  • Ability to respond calmly and efficiently during emergencies, including providing first aid when needed.
  • Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail to identify potential security threats promptly.
  • Good communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of alertness.
