  • Shift pattern: Day shift Monday to Friday 8.30 am - 5.00 pm (with the occasional Saturday 1 in 8 )

Job Summary

Our UK Distribution Centre, in Bardon, Leicestershire is key to the success of our overall Supply Chain, with high quantities of goods in and out into our distribution network every day. The site operates a storage and distribution network that covers the UK and Ireland. From the DC we deliver to all the Autoglass® and Laddaw® branches, offering a right first-time policy. From the Laddaw® branches we deliver to our external Customers also offering a right first-time policy.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will be to

  • Handle vehicle glass in the warehouse in line with Belron UK Ltd quality and safety standards at all times, to ensure stock quality is maintained and minimal stock loss
  • Use a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP) , to move stock efficiently and safely
  • Follow Health & Safety requirements without exception, including when manual handling equipment (MHE) and conducting regular self risk assessments to ensure the safety of yourself and others
  • Report issues that arise whilst out on deliveries or in the warehouse, to ensure they are resolved
  • Support stocktakes in terms of physical stock counting and system reconciliation to ensure stock accuracy
  • Actively promote and undertake the recycling of waste to support the business’s societal responsibilities
  • Comply with all internal and external processes and legal requirements including:
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • GDPR
  • ISO 9001,14001 &18001
  • MHE daily checks

Scale of the role

The Supply Chain Team member, working as a team, will contribute towards supporting the Autoglass® Technician workforce, as well as external revenue via wholesale customers, covering a 7 day a week operation.

Training

You will be required to complete regular mandatory training to keep your knowledge up to date in the following areas:

  • Manual Handling (injury at work)
  • Health & Safety (DSE assessment etc)
  • Code of Conduct
  • Cyber Security

You will also be required to undertake training and coaching as required to increase personal skills to achieve DC performance standards, specific to tasks required to meet the relevant Supply Chain Team member grade and complete job specific training, as detailed below:

  • Understanding our customer journey
  • Voice picking (Voxware)
  • Manual Handling Equipment (MHE)
