• Never name operations or methods that are protected: employers respect the discretion and it demonstrates exactly the judgement they're buying.

• Insurance surveillance roles usually expect your own vehicle, flexible travel and imagery kit familiarity — cheap to evidence.
• The ABI (Association of British Investigators) accredits the credible end of the PI market; membership signals lawfulness.
• A BTEC Level 3/4 in surveillance is redundant next to police training — cite your force/national training instead, by name.
• For protective surveillance, pair your surveillance CV with an SIA CP licence to access the top day rates.
