Job Description

Due to continued growth and increased demand, we are expanding our Core Account Executive team with ambitious sales professionals focused on acquiring new customers and driving market expansion.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating net-new business across the Irish market, identifying and engaging prospective customers, and positioning Darktrace's industry-leading AI-powered cyber security solutions to key decision-makers. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close, playing a critical role in expanding Darktrace's customer base and market presence.

What will I be doing

  • Identifying, developing, and closing net-new logo opportunities within your assigned territory
  • Building and executing strategic territory and account plans to exceed revenue targets
  • Generating pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, outbound outreach, and collaboration with marketing and inside sales teams
  • Engaging CISOs, IT leaders, security teams, and executive stakeholders to understand business challenges and cyber security priorities
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from discovery and qualification through to negotiation and close
  • Presenting and demonstrating Darktrace's AI-driven cyber security platform, supported by in-house technical experts
  • Collaborating with Solutions Engineers, Technical Account Managers, and Cyber Threat Analysts to deliver tailored demonstrations and Proof of Value engagements
  • Identifying expansion and upsell opportunities within newly acquired accounts to maximise long-term customer value
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking through CRM systems
  • Representing Darktrace at industry events, customer meetings, and cyber security conferences

What experience do I need?

We are looking for ambitious, resilient, and commercially driven sales professionals with a proven track record of winning and closing new business in a B2B environment.

As a Core Account Executive, Acquisition, you will play a key role in driving Darktrace's continued growth by bringing new customers onto our AI-powered cyber security platform.

You will be

  • An experienced new business hunter with a demonstrable track record of acquiring and closing net-new customers
  • Comfortable prospecting into cold accounts and building pipeline from scratch
  • A confident communicator, capable of building credibility with both executive and technical stakeholders
  • Skilled in discovery, value-based selling, objection handling, and negotiation
  • Highly motivated by uncapped commission and success in a target-driven environment
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and able to maintain momentum through complex sales cycles
  • Experienced in managing opportunities across the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Comfortable selling SaaS, cyber security, or other technical solutions
  • Strong in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline
  • Effective at collaborating across cross-functional teams and partner networks
  • Interested in cyber security and excited by the opportunity to represent market-leading AI technology
  • Concentrated experience working with the Irish market would be highly desirable

This is a hybrid role with the expectation to attend the London office 3 days a week.
