We are seeking a hands-on Compliance Officer to support compliance activities across the business, based at Bangholme, Victoria. This role suits someone organised, practical, and comfortable working closely with technicians and leaders in a field-based environment.

Reporting to the National SHEC Manager, you will coordinate, monitor and support compliance activities by maintaining accurate records, managing compliance systems and portals, conducting audits and checks, tracking corrective actions, and providing practical guidance to operational teams. Your initial key priority will be to review and enhance a reliable compliance framework and ensure systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance registers, procedures, records and action plans
  • Coordinate compliance audits, site inspections and spot checks
  • Track corrective actions and support timely close-out
  • Prepare compliance reports, dashboards and audit evidence
  • Manage contractor and client compliance portals
  • Coordinate Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) requirements
  • Support compliance obligations relating to automatic doors, electrical awareness, plant/equipment and building safety
  • Maintain licences, training, calibration and competency records
  • Assist operational teams with customer compliance requirements and site documentation
  • Develop compliance communications, toolbox talks and briefings

About You

  • Relevant qualification in Compliance, Quality, Risk or WHS (Certificate IV in WHS desirable)
  • Experience in compliance, quality, auditing or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of compliance systems, audits and document control
  • Ability to interpret compliance requirements and apply them practically
  • Experience managing compliance records and digital systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance reporting platforms
  • Practical, proactive and able to build strong working relationships across the business.
