Overview

Your policing background gives you direct experience of working in a secure, regulated environment with strict adherence to procedures, which is the core of this crypto clerk role. The job's emphasis on maintaining accurate records, managing assets, and following defined security protocols mirrors the discipline you used in evidence handling, property management, and custody procedures. Your experience with incident response and risk assessment from policing also aligns well with the role's focus on operational resilience and security assurance.

About this role

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

Working closely with the Crypto Custodian, Security Incident teams and site stakeholders, the Crypto Clerk contributes to operational resilience, incident response and regulatory compliance, aligned to BT’s behaviours.

This job role is based in London. Due to security requirements, this role requires you to be located on site during your working hours. Monday-Friday 37.5 hours. DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.
