Looking for more than just another engineering role?

This is an opportunity to step into a technical leadership position where you'll remain hands-on while helping shape the cyber security function of a highly regulated organisation.

We're looking for someone who has grown from a technical security background and enjoys solving complex security problems, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement. This is not a traditional GRC or compliance-focused role.

You'll act as the technical right hand to the Head of Cyber, providing leadership across security operations, engineering, governance and risk while helping guide the wider team. Over time, there's a genuine opportunity to grow into broader operational leadership.

What you'll be doing

🔹 Leading day-to-day cyber security operations across a mature Microsoft environment

🔹 Acting as a senior technical escalation point for the Security Operations Centre

🔹 Managing and improving technologies including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, email security, EDR, privileged access management and vulnerability management

🔹 Supporting ISO 27001, Essential Eight and audit activities while taking a pragmatic, risk-based approach

🔹 Driving security awareness, improving cyber maturity and partnering with stakeholders across the business

🔹 Contributing to security architecture, projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

✔️ Strong technical background across Security Operations and Engineering

✔️ Someone who has naturally evolved into leading risk, assurance and stakeholder engagement without losing their technical edge

✔️ Experience with ISO 27001, Essential Eight

✔️ Enterprise security technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, CyberArk or similar

✔️ A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others and influencing security outcomes
