We are seeking a professional and proactive Duty Security Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a high-profile security contract, ensuring exceptional service delivery, regulatory compliance and effective incident management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated security professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for developing teams, maintaining operational excellence and building strong client relationships.

  • Lead, manage and motivate the security team to deliver a consistently high standard of service across the site.
  • Ensure all security operations comply with legal, contractual and company requirements, including health & safety and data protection obligations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for daily operational security matters, maintaining effective communication with client representatives and stakeholders.
  • Manage team rostering, resource allocation and absence cover to ensure all security posts and patrols remain fully staffed.
  • Oversee the control room function and ensure all security systems and technology remain operational and effective.
  • Lead security responses to incidents, emergencies, evacuations and fire alarms, carrying out dynamic risk assessments and liaising with emergency services when required.
  • Conduct performance management activities including team meetings, investigations, appraisals, welfare reviews and staff development programmes.
  • Review and improve security procedures, risk assessments, assignment instructions and operating processes to support continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be a confident and decisive leader who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional security standards. You will be highly organised, customer-focused and committed to creating a safe, secure and professional environment for our client and colleagues.

  • Proven experience in a security management or supervisory role within a corporate, commercial or high-profile environment.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing incidents, emergencies and operational security responses in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage with clients, contractors and senior management.
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing rosters, staffing levels and operational planning.
  • Experience conducting performance management activities, including appraisals, investigations and employee development.
  • Valid SIA Licence, with the ability to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and customer service.
