Join the Quality, Informatics & Improvement team as an Emergency Management Coordinator and help strengthen RMH’s resilience, preparedness and ability to respond to emergencies and major incidents.

Working closely with the Business Resilience Manager, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of RMH’s Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs through preparedness activities, education, exercising, documentation and incident management support. You will collaborate with internal teams and external emergency management partners to build capability, strengthen readiness and support effective response and recovery.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the delivery and improvement of RMH’s Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, education and exercising programs.
  • Maintain emergency management plans, documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Support incident management, response and recovery activities during emergencies and major incidents.
  • Apply continuous improvement approaches to strengthen organisational resilience and preparedness.
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams and emergency management partners.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in emergency management, health, safety or risk management, plus AIIMS completion
  • Proven experience developing and delivering education, training and emergency preparedness exercises
  • Strong knowledge of AS 4083-2010 and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and external agencies

Desirable

  • Experience coordinating emergency management, business continuity or resilience programs in a complex environment
  • Experience designing and delivering emergency preparedness exercises
