You will be working in the Building Services OU where we bring Skanska’s purpose to build for a better society to life - creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. We are currently looking for an Estates Officer Fire who will ensure the efficient and effective operation of electrical/mechanical and related systems and service and the promotion of compliance to statutory and good engineering practices.

As the Estates Office Fire, you will

• Be the fire works co-ordinator for our project and work with all teams in respect to controls and advise on aspects relating to fire safety.
• Management of the fire alarm systems in integrated equipment including cause and effect testing.
• Formal budget ownership.
• Risk register and fire risk assessments governance (sign-off, tracking, assurance).
• Strategic lifecycle planning for fire systems, update fire policies and undertake energy reporting.
• To manage external sub-contractors and professionals as required.
• To be trained to deliver Authorised Person responsibilities where required.
• Participate in the Emergency On-Call Roster.

We are looking for

• Experience in fire alarm systems.
• Certificate in fire safety.
• 18th Edition.
• NVQ level 3 or above on electrical.
• HV/LV AP or willing to work towards.
• Experience of working in Hospitals and on Hospital Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) in specific HTM 06 and HTM 05 and Heath Building Notes (HBN’s) and British standards and the firecode etc.
