Job Description

Experience working in a fast paced 24/7 FMCG environment is essential

We are recruiting a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager for a newly created role in our fast-paced manufacturing plant. This position requires someone who can manage daily site operations.

  • PPM & General Maintenance: Run the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and oversee general reactive repairs for the building, machinery, and grounds.
  • Utilities & Energy: Ensure reliable gas, water, and electric supplies, while actively looking for simple, high-impact ways to save energy and reduce waste.
  • Building Care: Keep the physical building, roof, and external areas well-maintained, safe, and professional.
  • Cost Control: Manage the daily facilities budget, keeping an eye on costs and resources.
  • Compliance: Keep the site fully up-to-date with all UK Health & Safety checks (including Fire Safety, Gas, Fixed Wire, and PAT testing).
  • Safety First: Write and review Risk Assessments (RAMS) and ensure emergency procedures are clear and ready to go.
  • Vendor Management: Support with external contractors and service providers. Track their performance, ensure they meet safety rules, and identify areas where vendor service can be developed and improved.
  • Contracts: Help negotiate service agreements to make sure we’re getting reliable support and good value.
