London City Airport - Female Security Officer

Pay rate: £14.80 per hour

Nightshift overtime pay rate: £17.01

Hours: 12 HOUR SHIFTS

Core Team: 2 DAYS 2 NIGHTS 4 4 OFF. 12 HOURS DAYS 07.00 TO 19.00 AND NIGHTS 19.00 TO 07.00.

Weekend Only shifts available.

What we are looking for

Previous Security Experience

Be able to complete a 2-week training course for GSO course at the start of your employment.

You will need to have 5 year traceable history, a recent DBS and a counter terrorism check (CTC)

Working in London City Airport (Airside) as part of a team to deliver good customer service and aviation security to all airport users. You will search and screen baggage/passengers and airport staff, as well as patrol and guard areas within the airport to ensure that the airport, aircraft, passengers and airport staff are safe and secure at all times.

You will be an good, conscientious and capable team player who can work to strict timescales and help ensure flights depart on time. You will be provided with the necessary training and uniform so that you can confidently carry out the role in line with security regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN LINE WITH REQUIRED STANDARDS

Screening of Cabin and Hold baggage to the required standard

Search baggage, passengers and airport staff to the required standard

Carry out patrolling and guarding duties within the airport to the required standard

Carry out access control duties for passengers, airport staff and vehicles to the required standard

Provide good customer service to passengers and airport staff

Report all security incidents and concerns to the security supervisor

Work positively and effectively with all team members and other airport and airline colleagues

Comply with training, security regulations and Aviation company policies and procedures

Work safely at all times and in line with Aviation safety standards, policies and procedures

Always act professionally, dress smartly and be an excellent timekeeper

Complete any reasonable tasks that are required by the company.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A good level of English

Able to work effectively as part of a team and without constant supervision

Able to work to strict timescales without compromising quality, safety and security

Attentive with good attention to detail

Desire to deliver good service and to be helpful and courteous at all times

Uniform provided

The role requires a female only, due to the hand searches required for Female Customers who go through the security lane . This is in line with the DfT & CAA compliance procedures.
