About this role
Financial Crime Officer
Leading Financial Service Business | Bonus Scheme | Nottingham (Hybrid)
This is where your expertise leads.
You’ve investigated the cases, made the calls and seen SARs through to submission. Now you’re ready to set the standard.
You’ll sit at the heart of a UK AML Work Programme in a high-volume consumer lending business, working alongside the MLRO and leading the front-line team. You’ll be the person they turn to when a case gets complicated.
You lead the work, not just the reviews.
You’ll mentor first-line investigators, define what good looks like and use QA to raise SAR quality.
You’ll also own policies, procedures and training, partner with the MLRO on SAR decisions and audits, and run 2nd-line assurance, challenging CDD and closing out risk events and audit findings.
And the environment backs you to do it.
This is a business recognised as one of the UK’s best places to work, with up to £5,000 in qualification funding, real influence with stakeholders and room to shape how controls work in practice.
Hybrid in Nottingham. Competitive base, performance-related bonus, and a package built to grow with you.
What you’ll bring
- A strong understanding of the UK financial crime framework, including the MLRs, JMLSG and POCA
- Proven experience leading teams through end-to-end financial crime investigations in a high-volume consumer credit environment
- Confidence making well-documented, defensible decisions that lead to high-quality SARs
- The ability to build trust with stakeholders, so they come to you when a control isn’t working
- A real appetite for professional development through ICA, ACAMS or similar
Benefits
Competitive pension, bonus scheme, 25 days’ holiday rising with tenure (plus the option to buy 5 more), private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave, and an office with an on-site gym.
