Pay: £18.00 per hour

Hours: 42 hours per week: 4 on, 4 off nights only

As a Lead Security Officer, you will oversee the day-to-day security operation on shift, providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Security Officers. Acting as the main point of contact for operational matters, you will help ensure a consistently high standard of service delivery while promoting the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. As a Lead Security Officer, you will be responsible for managing staffing levels, coordinating officer rosters, monitoring performance, and ensuring all team members maintain the required training and licensing standards. Building strong working relationships with both the client and internal stakeholders, you will conduct regular performance reviews, support employee development, and ensure all security personnel maintain the highest standards of professionalism and presentation.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Ensure all personnel under your supervision have completed the appropriate site training and hold a valid SIA licence or LDN to meet industry requirements
  • Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviour of all security personnel, taking remedial action in line with the company policy and procedures
  • Report all incidents in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures
  • Assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing best practices and using systems and tool to improve service effectiveness
  • Be fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV Detection, and Alarm Systems, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting
  • Assist the Site Manager with any reasonable or practical request
  • Monitor faults with security related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A valid SIA licence
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends
  • Previous supervisory experience within a corporate banking environment is essential
  • Must be able to present a clear and complete 5-year work and/or education history, with supporting explanations for any gaps in employment
  • Adaptable and responsive to changes in priorities, plans and schedules
  • Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
