  • Working 37.5 hours per week, scheduled across any 5 days out of 7, between 06:00am and 22:00pm.

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Loss Prevention Team Leader to lead our central Loss Prevention team to help protect the business by mitigating risk of loss and ensuring clear reporting and investigation, under the guidance of the security operations centre manager

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of the Loss Prevention Team, ensuring the team operates effectively and delivers against departmental KPIs. You’ll coach and develop colleagues, set clear expectations and maintain high standards around accuracy, confidentiality and professional judgement.

Job Overview

  • Lead, coach and manage the team, creating clear ways of working and consistent standards
  • Manage performance in line with departmental KPIs and service expectations
  • Work with HR to support inductions, resolve employee issues and progress formal cases
  • Conduct investigations and chair disciplinary hearings where required
  • Review CCTV footage alongside incident reports to build an accurate understanding of events
  • Log store incident reports via telephone and internal systems
  • Provide 24-hour CCTV monitoring coverage
  • Collate, analyse and share daily data to support team priorities and improvements
  • Identify and report unusual store activity and policy breaches clearly and promptly
  • Record, log and report relevant incident and investigation data
  • Investigate suspicious transactions, till adjustments and cancelled sales using CCTV
  • Review footage following alarm activations or out-of-hours access
  • Monitor driver deliveries and staff behaviour, including non-scanning, purchases, and cashing up

Minimum Criteria To Apply

We’re looking for a confident, detail-led Loss Prevention Team Leader who combines strong people leadership with an analytical mindset and sound judgement. You’ll be comfortable working with confidential information and making decisions in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure.

Essential experience and skills include

  • Proven experience supervising or managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to strict deadlines
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong questioning, reporting and information-handling skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
