Description

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the National Operations & Services Manager, you'll play a key role in leading day-to-day operations while identifying opportunities to improve, strengthen team capability and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

  • Drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all WHS requirements.
  • Lead, coach and develop supervisors and operational employees.
  • Drive operational performance across warehousing, inventory management, dispatch and transport logistics to consistently meet customer and business expectations.

Manage labour planning, productivity and operational costs to achieve performance and budget targets.

Support site maintenance, facilities and capital improvements to ensure the operation continues to perform at its best.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across people, systems and processes.

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest operational standards.

Monitor and report on key operational KPIs, implementing corrective actions where required to drive ongoing improvement.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including Trading, Sales, Quality and Finance to optimise operational performance and customer service.

Skills and Experiences

About You

We're looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and a genuine passion for leading operational teams. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing warehouse, logistics or distribution operations.
  • Forklift Licence required.
  • A hands-on leadership style and the ability to build credibility on the warehouse floor.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of improving operational performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience working in FMCG, fresh produce, food manufacturing, logistics or a similar fast-paced environment is highly regarded.
  • Sound computer skills and experience using warehouse or ERP systems.
