Are you a Cyber Security Engineer looking to break into, or continue your journey within Operational Technology (OT)?
I'm working with a well-established Australian organisation investing heavily in the security of its critical infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work across both IT and OT environments, helping secure industrial systems that keep essential services running.
What you'll do
- Secure and support OT and industrial control system (ICS) environments.
- Implement and improve network segmentation, monitoring and cyber controls across critical infrastructure.
- Work closely with engineering, infrastructure and operational teams to uplift security maturity.
- Respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities and emerging threats across IT and OT.
- Contribute to Zero Trust, vulnerability management and security architecture initiatives.
- Help drive security improvements across cloud, network and endpoint technologies.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years' experience in Cyber Security, Network Security or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Exposure to OT, ICS or critical infrastructure environments (or a genuine desire to move into OT Security).
- Experience with technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, Cisco or similar.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls and segmentation).
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as the Essential Eight, NIST or IEC 62443 is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and operational stakeholders.
