About this role

At ATCO, we're committed to continuously improving the way we work, ensuring strong governance, and delivering value across the business. We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing and Compliance Officer to join our Supply Chain team.

This position is available as either a full-time role or a job-share arrangement.

The Opportunity

This role plays a critical part in strengthening purchasing governance, improving data quality and ensuring procurement activities are completed in line with company policies and procedures.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll support purchasing activities, monitor compliance, identify opportunities for process improvement and help drive consistency across our purchasing practices. You'll also contribute to ATCO's transition to Oracle Fusion and support the ongoing evolution of our purchasing and compliance framework.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage purchase orders and related transactions, ensuring timely, accurate processing and compliance with purchasing requirements.
  • Monitor purchasing activity, identify compliance risks and trends, and provide reporting and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain purchasing data integrity, including coding accuracy, reporting quality, and spend visibility.
  • Support purchasing process improvements and ERP initiatives to enhance efficiency, governance, and user experience.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to stakeholders on purchasing processes, systems, and best-practice compliance.

You'll bring a high level of accuracy, sound judgement and a continuous improvement mindset. You'll be comfortable working with data, systems and processes, while confidently building relationships across the business to drive compliance and best-practice purchasing behaviours.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. You have strong attention to detail, enjoy solving problems, and can balance operational tasks with longer-term improvement opportunities.

You'll also bring

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administration within a medium to large organisation.
  • Understanding of purchasing governance, compliance requirements, and financial controls.
  • Strong data, reporting, and ERP system capability, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, provide guidance, and support change initiatives.

Qualifications

  • CIPS, Diplomas in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, Contracting or similar commercial qualification or demonstrated experience
