About this role

  • Melbourne based Permanent role
  • Work with a leading Telco
  • A 5 day fortnight in office

We are looking for a Rapid7 SME (L3+) technical expert for a busy, fast-paced team environment. This isn't a junior SOC role. I'm looking for someone who actually knows Rapid7 inside out, can operate at an L3+ expert level, and will be the go-to person for anything technical.

💥 What you'll be doing

  • Owning and supporting the Rapid7 stack (InsightIDR, InsightVM, etc.)
  • Handling L3/L4 incidents, escalations, and deep investigations
  • Tuning detections, improving visibility, and reducing noise
  • Working closely with security and infrastructure teams to strengthen posture

🧠 What matters

  • Strong hands-on experience with Rapid7 (not just exposure)
  • Proven L3/L4 technical support capability in a security environment
  • Solid understanding of SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Ability to troubleshoot, tune, and optimise — not just monitor
