Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1).

The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford, Ebbsfleet International.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client 'HS1 Ltd', undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

Duration: Permanent role based in St Pancras International Station

  • Drive excellent customer experiences by helping manage and continuously improve facilities management contractors, balancing service quality, performance and value for money.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders across the business to deliver maintenance, compliance and improvement programmes that support operational success.
  • Provide expert advice on property and facilities investment, helping to prioritise repairs, renewals and enhancements while ensuring budgets and estate strategies are met.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation, sharing best practice and influencing positive outcomes with senior stakeholders and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate property information and develop evidence-based recommendations that optimise building performance, maximise value and support long-term estate planning.

Your experience and skills

Who are we looking for?

  • We're looking for an experienced and pragmatic hard services Facilities professional with a strong engineering mindset and the credibility to lead from the front. You'll be comfortable operating at management level, holding contractors to account, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You will bring technical knowledge across building services, combined with a practical, solutions focused approach and good commercial awareness. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership, and are motivated by making a visible impact on the performance of critical infrastructure used by millions, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in facilities management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Microsoft suite proficiency
  • Proven contract management skills

Desirable

  • Proven experience of managing complex budgets
  • Knowledge of policies and standards relating to office accommodation
  • Proven negotiation skills
